Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: Package Deals, Good or Bad for College Basketball?

The whole concept of the so-called “package deal” is that it also a coach to recruit multiple prospects and receive commitments from those recruits at the same time.  Depending on which team you pull for, your opinion on the topic may be different than others.  Kentucky for example, recently landed the Harrison twins in a “package deal.”  While, twins usually play together, like the Morris twins did for Kansas a few years back, the package deal is starting to trend more and more every year.

For the 2014-15 recruiting class, many believe that Jahill Okafor, Tyus Jones and Justice Winslow will be the next set of recruits that one lucky school will receive in a package deal.  Up until today, as reported by, only Jahill Okafor and Tyus Jones had received offers from Kentucky.  However, it seems that Calipari is impressed by Justice Winslow and offered him a scholarship to play at Kentucky.  If the rumors are true, then Kentucky could have another package deal in the making.
