According to ESPN’s Paul Biancardi, 2014 five-star prospect Kelly Oubre has trimmed his list to eight schools.  Oubre is a 6’6″ shooting guard from Richmond, Texas.  He is also the 19th ranked prospect for the class of 2014, according to Rivals.

It is reported that after cutting his list down, Oubre is still considering UConn, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Oregon, and UNLV.

Oubre performed well in the Peach Jam last week and has made the roster for the Nike Global Challenge this week in Washington, D.C. This will be another opportunity to showcase his talents and impress the schools remaining on his list.

Weighing in around 200 pounds, Oubre seems like he has a solid frame and the size to play at a high level in college.  If he can shoot at a high percentage and can impress Kentucky’s scouts, I’m sure Calipari would enjoy adding another highly ranked prospect to the Class of 2014.
