FIRST ROUND NBA DRAFT ORDER – SELECTIONS

10:45PM David Sterns last pick will be Nemanja Nedovic. 839 picksannounced in total for Stern and with all Kentucky players (Noel and Goodwin) expected to be selected off the board, this will be my final pick of the night as well. Goodnight to all and good luck to those drafted.10:41PM Archie Goodwin will be drafted by OKC, but with all the trading will end up on the Phoenix Suns after all the trades get approved. Goodwin will be guaranteed a contract by 1 pick.10:34PM Gobert was traded to the Jazz for pick 46 and cash. Interesting to see what the price per inch of wing span (7’9″- 2nd highest ever measured at NBA combine) is these days.

10:25PM More trades expected here – Golden State buys Minn.’s 26 pick, sells it to OKC for their 29th and cash. During that potential trade, Wolves offically trade Trey Burke for Muhammad and Dieng.

10:21PM T’wolves pick for Warriors Andre Roberson. During which, the trade of Boston for “Bebe” Nogueira and 2 2nd round picks for Kelly “Fabio Hair” Olynyk

10:10PM North Carolina looks to get their first player on the board in Reggie Bullock. Bullock will go to the Clippers. Prior to that Hardaway Jr was actually cheered by Knicks fans. First time I’ve ever seen such a thing.

10:01PM

9:58PM Duke has first draft pick in Mason Plumlee. North Carolina still remains with a 0.

9:51PM “We had to explain to our international audience that a Boo is an sign of respect”.. and then announces that Gorgui Dieng will go to Utah (then Minnesota)

9:43PM Nerlens Noel learns he’s been traded during a draft interview

9:39PM Battier “I’m here with Sergey… your father was a great point guard for the Russian national team, what does that mean for you.”… “well, that’s great”.

9:32PM Shane Larkin appears to be going to Dallas as part of one of those Dallas trades earlier. Shane Battier then interviewed Larkin… and journalism majors everywhere weeped.

9:27PM BTW The way it works is Celtics were told by Dallas to pick for Atlanta at No. 16… I apologize for not keeping the draft board straight. All is well now.

9:18PM “BeBe” Lucas Nogueira from Brazil couldn’t fit the hat over the ‘fro. Beautiful

9:14PM Celtics, who are picking for Dallas, will trade this pick back a few more for Atlanta for 18th pick and a 2nd round pick. Seems like Dallas COULD have 3-4 2nd round picks.9:13PM “I studied him extensively… on YouTube” Bill Simmons

9:06PM Lucky there is Twitter, as I can get an early start to typing the name of the next pick… Giannis Atntetokounmpo… and I can copy and paste.

9:04PM Utah Jazz pick for Minnesota… glad it wasn’t for Utah as the pick was ‘bazz Muhammed.

9:00PM Olynyk, may not have been drafted for his basketball skills, but perhaps his his hair. DEFINITELY not his good looks.

8:58PM Hearing Boston will trade for Dallas’ #13 pick. Dallas wants to dump it though for cap space.

8:53PM Where is Shabazz Muhammad? The former #1 overall player that crashed after selfishness issues arose at UCLA is waiting for his new location.

8:43PM Some speculation of if Philly will get the 2014 1st round pick of NOLA or if NOLA gets Philly. More to come when this stuff gets finalized.

8:37PM Trey Burke to Utah for #14 and #21. Not sure I agree with Jalen Rose when he says Utah has needed a PG since John Stockton retired… one Deron Williams comes to mind…

8:34PM Trey Burke… another PG going to Minnesota…like another WR to Detroit #DraftDays

8:24PM Jrue Holiday and 2014 protected (1-3) first round pick will go to New Orleans for Nerlens Noel.

8:22PM Noel will be traded to Philadlphia. The terms have yet to be announced. Official word has not been given.

8:20PM Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is looking to go to Pistons #8 while Noel destination will actually be is still being talked about. However, it does appear he will not land in New Orleans. So much for the Block Party.

8:18PM Word is that Noel will be traded. Trade partner has yet to be named…

8:13PM With Noel going to the Pelicans, yes the Pelicans, he’ll play with Anthony Davis who averaged 1.7 blocks per game. Noel and Davis will be a block party for sure.

8:06PM Alex Len going to Phoenix. Noel will, at best, be the #3 Center taken in the draft. New Orleans has Anthony Davis… so where’s the bandaid to stop the bleeding?

8:03PM Indiana fans, Kentucky had 6 drafted last year… its been 4 years since the last Hoosier. Don’t get ahead of yourself.

7:57PM Bobcats looking to take Zeller. Indiana getting two before UK gets 1 off the board?

7:54PM Suns are likely the destination for Noel. Big man didn’t even interview with the Bobcats, so a MKG-Noel pairing not likely in Charlotte at #4.

7:50PM While rumors of Porter to Wiz are out… how much fun for Kentucky fans would it be to have Noel and Wall together?

7:48PM Otto Porter expected to go to Wizards.

7:45PM Indiana Guard Oladipo expected to go the the Magic. Question now comes, where does Nerlens go now? Wizards and Suns expected to be likely stop gaps.

7:42PM Noel passed over for former UK recruit Anthony Bennett. Plus 240 Forward wasn’t mentioned as a possible #1 during ANY of the speculation.

7:40PM Lots of talk about who Cavs take. Possibly the most I’ve seen in the last 5 years. Lin, Oladipo… Noel? Seemingly depends on if Cavs want to go after Lebron in the future.

7:34PM David Stern, +30 years as NBA commish, greeted with boos.   Cleveland is officially on-the-clock.
