Where does Nerlens Noel fit in the 2013 NBA Draft

Good morning, Big Blue Nation!

A few current and former Kentucky Wildcats track stars were busy this weekend at the United States Track and Field Championships. There were eight Wildcats participating, four on the 2013 squad and 4 of which were alumni. Friday results can be found here and the recap of Saturday can be found here. Sunday television coverage can be found on Universal Sports from 2-3 p.m., NBC Sports Network from 3-4 p.m. and NBC from 4-6 p.m.

On Thursday, Austin Cousino added another award to his belt when he won one of the three 2013 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards given to college outfielders. Last season, Corey Littrell received the award for college pitchers. Cousino will once again be competing with the USA Collegiate National Team, which started training over the weekend.

Over at the Orlando Sentinel, there are questions about Nerlens Noel and his torn ACL from earlier this year.

Ryan Blake, the senior director of NBA scouting operations, offered his evaluation of Nerlens Noel. Blake’s assessment of Noel is mostly positive but wonders as to when Noel will be ready for games. No matter how one feels about Noel, it is a good question seeing as how Derrick Rose tore his ACL last April and missed the entire season and the playoffs.

The Sporting News spoke with Archie Goodwin about Nerlens Noel. Goodwin is a player whose draft stock was hurt by the performance at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.
