Jabari is from the Stephenson HS pipeline that Joker Phillips established and was HS teammates with current Wildcats Raymond Sanders and Ronnie Shields. He  has good speed as he was clocked as fast as 4.6 in the forty and also played strong safety, fullback and tight end as well as LB.  Had a very impressive senior season with 76 tackle, five quarterback sacks, eight tackles for loss, two fumbles caused and one recovery.   He was also named to the All Region Team and helped guide Stephenson to an 11-1 record.

Johnson red-shirted his 2011 season as a freshman and saw action in two games last year:  Kent State and Arkansas.  Johnson recorded his first career tackle versus Kent State.  After playing LB his first two years, Jabari is making the move to DT and with a good summer, could put himself into the mix for some playing time at a position that looks to be a strength for UK.  He has a lot of work to do, but Johnson is a guy that Rivals called “a big time sleeper”.  Keep in mind, he still has three years of eligibility and his overall athletic prowess could get him some looks.
