#18 Glenn Faulkner, Safety

Class: Sophomore (RS)

Hometown: East St. Louis, Ill.

High School: East St. Louis

Height / Weight: 6-2 / 192

Faulkner was the top football prospect in Illinois coming out of high school. He was also the No. 8 safety in America per Rivals. In his senior season, Faulkner had 63 tackles and three interceptions and East St. Louis finished 11-0 as the top ranked team in the state. Faulkner also played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, becoming the second future UK player to play in the game. As a very versatile athlete, he was also an all-district player in basketball and participated in the high jump and long jump for track.

Last season, Faulkner was redshirted due to an ankle injury obtained in spring practice. After having surgery in the summer, he was officially redshirted. During his freshman season, he played in 11 games on special teams, recording only one tackle for the year. With a new coaching staff in place and a fresh start for everyone, hopefully Faulkner will get the chance to play to his full potential.
