Kentucky Wildcats advance to SEC Baseball postseason

The Kentucky Wildcats (30-24, 11-19 Southeastern Conference) baseball team beat the Missouri Tigers (18-31, 10-20 SEC) 5-1 yesterday afternoon on the road as they finished the regular season. Corey Littrell won his 21st game in a Wildcats uniform as Zack Storm hit a 3-run home run in the ninth inning. The Cats will play in the opening game on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. ET against the No. 6 seed on Fox Sports South.

The Kentucky softball team has tied a program record with 40 wins this season. Kelsey Nunley threw 7 innings and only allowed one hit. They advance to the regional final on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Should they lose that game, they will play a winner-take-all at 3:30 PM. Sunday’s game(s) will air on ESPN3.

The Kentucky Golf season has come to an close following a 10th place finish at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

Chlesea Oswald has been named as the Southeastern Conference Track and Field Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Other Wildcats were honored by the SEC on Friday when they announced the Track and Field honors.

Kentucky Basketball coach John Calipari held a press conference on Wednesday to update on the Wildcats basketball team as the school year comes to a close.
