So, we know what the Kentucky fans think about the job Mark Stoops has done at Kentucky so far. But what do the Louisville assistant fans think? I know that this may overshadow the Wiggins decision today, but Larry Vaught talked to UL assistants Tommy Restivo and Sherrone Moore and got the scoop:

"Question: What’s your perception on what Mark Stoops is doing at Kentucky since he took over there? Restivo: “He has done an excellent job. He has brought some juice to the program. The rivalry is going to be back to where it was. He is doing a heck of a job. I know they are hitting Ohio recruiting-wise pretty hard. They have some guys (on the coaching staff) who are from there and he is bringing some good things back to the program.” Moore: “With all the recruiting and stuff we have, I don’t have time to pay attention to other stuff going on. I hear things and I hope they keep building and doing a good job. But we really don’t have time. We have so much to focus on with our kids and what we have to do that we don’t have time to pay attention to other teams.”"

As we know, Kentucky got a commitment from Maryland prospect Kobie Walker yesterday. Yes, Maryland. Just more proof that Stoops and company are going to go anywhere for a recruit. Justin Rowland has a bit more on the newest Cat.

"Kobie Walker made his first trip to Kentucky for the Wildcats’ spring game, and it didn’t take him long to decide where he wanted to attend college. On Monday, he made it official, committing to the Wildcats. Kobie Walker likely will play outside linebacker at Kentucky. Walker got to know Drew Barker, who was not yet committed, and Thaddeus Snodgrass while he was at the spring game. “I just fell in love with the school from the time I stepped foot on the campus at the spring game,” Walker said. “The academics and the football program. The coaches, the recruits and the players. I just fell in love with it right away. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect played strong safety and outside linebacker for Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel last year, one of the east coast’s top high school football programs. Kentucky has not had much success recruiting in the Mid-Atlantic region and the commitment is a big win for UK assistant coach Tommy Mainord, Walker’s primary recruiter. “He was a big reason for my commitment to be honest,” Walker said. “He’s just a real laid back guy, a guy that you can trust.” Walker expects to play more linebacker this year, a position he believes has been best for him all along."
