#3 2090 (25-11)

What a difference a year makes.  Last year, on the Monday morning of the NCAA Title game, the Kentucky Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks were preparing to battle for the NCAA crown.  And Kansas had just defeated the North Carolina  Tar Heels in the Elite Eight for a trip to the Final Four.  All three of college basketball’s bluebloods were near the top of their games.  This year  … not so much.  Kentucky failed to make the NCAA Tournament, while Kansas knocked North Carolina out of the NCAA again, but in the round of 32.  Kansas’s number was up the next week as they fell to Michigan in the Sweet 16.  The Jayhawks did cut Kentucky’s lead in half in the all time wins race, however.

All three teams should be in the running for the National Title talk next year however and interestingly enough, all three teams are counting on Andrew Wiggins to help lead them there.
