Coming to UK ranked 32nd overall by ESPN and 39th overall by Rivals, there weren’t exactly a lot of high expectations for the former Kansas football star, as Stein was viewed as a developmental prospect who would spend at least tow seasons at Kentucky. With Nerlens Noel expected to get the majority of minutes at the center spot, Stein was expected to see the court only in spot minutes and when Noel was in foul trouble.
