Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: 3/31 Edition

There were a total of 11 former Kentucky Wildcats in action last night in the NBA, with Jodie Meeks, DeMarcus Cousins, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson, Keith Bogans, Tayshaun Prince, Eric Bledsoe, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, Nazr Mohammed and Marquis Teague suiting up for their respective teams.  Let’s take a look at how each player did individually as well as team results.

Los Angeles Lakers 100 – Sacramento Kings 98

  • Jodie Meeks, Guard, Los Angeles
  • DeMarcus Cousins, Center, Sacramento
  • Patrick Patterson, Forward, Sacramento
  • Chuck Hayes, Forward, Sacramento

It was a big game for former Cats as a total of four former Cats took the floor in the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings game.  For the Lakers, Jodie Meeks got the start and finished with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  For the Kings, DeMarcus Cousins had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists.  Also for the Kings, Patrick Patterson finished with 4 rebounds, an assist and a block.  Thirdly for the Kings, Chuck Hayes had 2 points, 5 rebounds and an assist.  The Lakers got the win over the Kings, 100 to 98.

Philadelphia 76ers 100 – Charlotte Bobcats 92

  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Forward, Charlotte

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was the only former Cat playing in the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Charlotte Bobcats game.  He finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds, while his Bobcats came up short to the 76ers, losing 100 to 92.

Memphis Grizzles 99 – Minnesota Timberwolves 86

  • Tayshaun Prince, Forward, Memphis

Tayshaun Prince had a rough game last night, finishing with only 4 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.  The Grizzlies beat the Timberwolves by the score of 99 to 86.

Dallas Mavericks 100 – Chicago Bulls 98

  • Nazr Mohammed, Center, Chicago
  • Marquis Teague, Guard, Chicago

Two former Cats suited up in the Dallas Mavericks vs. Chicago Bulls game last night, both for the Bulls. Nazr Mohammed got the start and finished with 2 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and an assist.  Marquis Teague did not check into last night’s game.  The Bulls lost to the Mavericks, 100 to 98.

Houston Rockets 98 – Los Angeles Clippers 81

  • Eric Bledsoe, Guard, Los Angeles

Eric Bledsoe had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in 25 minutes off the bench for the Clippers last night.  The Clippers lost to the Rockets by the score of 98 to 81.

Utah Jazz 116 – Brooklyn Nets 107

  • Keith Bogans, Guard, Brooklyn

Keith Bogans got the start again last night for the injury-laden Nets.  Bogans finished with 3 points, 2 assists and a rebound.  The Nets lost to the Jazz by the score of 116 to 107.

Atlanta Hawks 97 – Orlando Magic 88

  • Doron Lamb, Guard, Orlando

Doron Lamb played only 7 minutes off the bench last night for the Orlando Magic and had 2 rebounds and a steal in that time.  The Magic lost to the Hawks by the score of 97 to 88.
