It might have been midnight in Dunk City, but in Arlington, Texas it was 11pm, and the clock still had not struck midnight for Cinderella. Despite holding off the Gators early in the first half and hopping out to a 15-4 lead, the Eagles fell behind due to turnovers and lack of rebounds. The Gators defeated the Eagles 62-50, behind the 15 points from G Mike Rosario.

Michael Frazier made back-to-back three pointers to pull the Gators from a 10 point deficit to a four-point game, and afterwards the Gators were able to close out the half on a 16-0 run. The second half was a grinder for the most part, and UF was able to extend their lead early on. In the end, despite FGCU shooting 45% and UF 38%, the 20 turnovers for the Eagles gave away the game. Nonetheless, congratulations to the Eagles on making history and on a record-breaking season for the boys from Dunk City, FL.
