Kentucky Wildcat Football Gets Commitment from LB Dorian Hendrix

Today Mark Stoops and Company picked up their 2nd commitment for the 2014 recruiting class when Huber Heights, OH linebacker chose the Wildcats. Hendrix has been said to favor Kentucky for a couple of months and was taking an unofficial visit to Lexington when he pulled the trigger on his commitment.

Hendrix is 6’1” 215lbs. and rated a high 3* prospect by both Scout and 247 Sports. He is currently unrated on Rivals but will likely get a score in that high 3 to 4 star range. Besides Kentucky he already had BCS offers from Illinois and Indiana, while garnering interest from the rest of the Big Ten including Ohio State and Michigan. His lead recruiter was Tight Ends Coach Vince Marrow, another feather in Marrow’s cap. After the Cats didn’t sign a linebacker in Stoops inaugural class, they start off 2014 right with Hendrix, who would likely play outside in DJ Eliot’s4-3 scheme.

Hendrix is still on his unofficial with fellow Ohioan Thaddeus Snodgrass, a 4* wide receiver who has been quoted as favoring the Cats and is expected to decide soon. Could we see the Cats double-dip on Ohio talent this weekend? Stay tuned…
