Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: 3/22 Edition


There were a total of five former Kentucky Wildcats playing in the NBA last night.  DeMarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes for the Sacramento Kings, and Nazr Mohammed and Marquis Teague for the Chicago Bulls. Let’s take a look at how each player did individually last night, as well as team results.

Sacramento Kings 101 – Minnesota Timberwolves 98

  • DeMarcus Cousins, Center, Sacramento
  • Patrick Patterson, Forward, Sacramento
  • Chuck Hayes, Forward, Sacramento

Three of the five former Cats took part in the Sacramento Kings vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game, all playing for the Kings.  DeMarcus Cousins had the best night out of all the former Cats, finishing with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists.  Patrick Patterson had 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.  Chuck Hayes had 2 rebounds and 2 assists.  The Kings got the win over the Timberwolves, 101 to 98.

Portland Trailblazers 99 – Chicago Bulls 89

  • Nazr Mohammed, Center, Chicago
  • Marquis Teague, Guard, Chicago

The final two former Cats in action played in the Portland Trailblazers vs. Chicago Bulls game last night, both for the Bulls.  Nazr Mohammed finished with 4 points, 3 rebounds and a block in 12 minutes.  Marquis Teague only checked in for one minute last night, but finished with 3 points and 2 assists.  The Bulls game up short to the Trailblazers, 99 to 89.
