Former Kentucky Wildcats In The NBA: 3-14-2013 Edition

There was a total of eight former Wildcats performing in the NBA last night.  Let’s take a look at how each of them and their respective teams performed.

Washington Wizards 106 – Milwaukee Bucks 93

John Wall, Guard, Washington

Washington jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in this one.  The Wizards shot 50% from the field and John Wall recorded a double-double with 23 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Sacramento Kings 121 – Chicago Bulls 79

Patrick Patterson, Forward-Center, Sacramento

Chuck Hayes, Forward-Center, Sacramento

> Marcus Teague, Guard, Chicago

Nazr Mohammed, Center, Chicago

The Kings were well prepared for this matchup last night, and proved it by pummeling the Bulls.  Patterson had 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.  While his teammate Chuck Hayes contributed 10 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal.  In the losing effort, Teague tallied 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and a blocked shot.  Mohammed had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a blocked shot.

Oklahoma City Thunder 110 – Utah Jazz 87

Enes Kanter, Center, Utah

The Jazz also suffered a blowout loss last night.  The Thunder smothered the Jazz with their defense and shot nearly 54% from the field on offense.  Kanter put up 12 points with 5 rebounds and a steal.

Atlanta Hawks 96 – Los Angeles Lakers 92

Jodie Meeks, Guard, Los Angeles

The Lakers nearly came back from a 12-point halftime deficit against the Hawks.  However, they had several shooting lapses and allowed the Hawks to sneak away with the victory.  Meeks had 3 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist.

Memphis Grizzlies 96 – Los Angeles Clippers 85

Tayshaun Prince, Forward, Memphis

Memphis has now won 6 straight games after going into Staples Center and defeating the Clippers.  The Grizzlies were tenacious and showed great effort.  Prince helped lead the way for them with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and a steal.
