Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA: 3/11 Edition


There were a total of 10 former Kentucky Wildcats playing in the NBA last night.  Brandon Knight, DeMarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson, Chuck Hayes, Anthony Davis, Darius Miller, Doron Lamb, Jodie Meeks, Nazr Mohammed and Marquis Teague all took the floor for their respective teams.  Let’s take a look at how each player did individually.

Milwaukee Bucks 115 – Sacramento Kings 113

  • DeMarcus Cousins, Center, Sacramento
  • Patrick Patterson, Forward, Sacramento
  • Chuck Hayes, Forward, Sacramento

Three former Cats took part in last night’s Sacramento Kings vs. Milwaukee Bucks game, all playing for the Kings.  DeMarcus Cousins finished with 24 points and 1o rebounds.  Patrick Patterson finished with 4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks.  Chuck Hayes had 2 points.  The Kings fell to the Bucks, 115  to 113.

New Orleans Hornets 98 – Portland Trailblazers 96

  • Anthony Davis, Forward, New Orleans
  • Darius Miller, Forward, New Orleans

In last night’s New Orleans Hornets vs. Portland Trailblazers game, two former Cats took the floor for the Hornets.  Anthony Davis finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Darius Miller had 8 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds.  The Hornets knocked off the Trailblazers, 98 to 96.

Los Angeles Lakers 90 – Chicago Bulls 81

  • Jodie Meeks, Guard, Los Angeles
  • Nazr Mohammed, Center, Chicago
  • Marquis Teague, Guard, Chicago

Three more former Cats played in the game last night between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls.  For the Lakers, Jodie Meeks had 10 points and 4 rebounds.  For the Bulls, Nazr Mohammed had 5 points and a block.  Also for the Bulls, Marquis Teague played 3 minutes and had one turnover.  The Lakers got the win over the Bulls by the score of 90 to 81.

Los Angeles Clippers 129 – Detroit Pistons 97

  • Brandon Knight, Guard, Detroit

Last night, in the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Detroit Pistons game, former Cat Brandon Knight was dunked on by Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan, with what may have been the dunk of the year in the NBA and the phrase “RIP Brandon Knight” was trending on Twitter last night after the dunk.  Knight finished the game with 10 points and 3 assists.  The Pistons got blown out by the Clippers, 129 to 97.

Orlando Magic 99 – Philadelphia 76ers 91

  • Doron Lamb, Guard, Orlando

The final former Cat in action last night was Doron Lamb of the Orlando Magic playing against the Philadelphia 76ers.  Lamb had one rebound in two minutes of play.  The Magic got the win over the 76ers, 99 to 91.
