NCAA College Basketball: Kentucky Wildcats 61 Florida Gators 57

Much needed win on Senior Day for the Wildcats who were coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Georgia Bulldogs on Thursday. This was the type of statement win that the Cats needed on their tournament resume. This win alone I don’t believe will get the Cats into the tournament, but if they make a good showing in the SEC tournament this coming week it will be hard to say no to them. The Wildcats showed heart today and played hard from start to finish. This game couldn’t have ended better than seeing senior Julius Mays at the line at the end of the game and knocking down 2 free throws to put Kentucky up by 4 and seal the deal. Great effort today by the Cats and can’t wait to see what is in store for them the rest of the season.
