Kentucky Wildcats Football: Beginning of the Resurgence

There is a huge basketball game against the Arkansas Razorbacks tomorrow afternoon in which the Wildcats are in a must win situation. But I feel that it is necessary to pause from that coverage and comment on the amazing happenings with football.

When it was announced that the spring game would be a ticketed event, I was a little skeptical. I knew there would be more people there than in the previous years, but I had no clue how many. I thought that 15,000 would be a triumph. But Big Blue Nation is showing that it’s more than ready to come back and fully support the football team.

As of now, Kentucky is close to having given out over 30,000 tickets. That 15,000 estimate I had is being blown out of the water. I won’t be surprised if there are 40,000 or more in attendance.

I already have my tickets and I plan on tailgating like a normal game. There will be other authors from the site besides me at the game and we plan on showing our support to all those that join us.

What Mark Stoops has done in a short amount of time is astounding. A program left for dead now has the beginnings of new life.
