The Wildcats welcomed Mississippi State into the hostile environment of Rupp Arena tonight.  The Bulldogs have had a dismal season thus far and the Wildcats didn’t make it any easier on them tonight.  Kentucky jumped out to an early lead and played with confidence and physicality.  They really shared the ball and demonstrated better teamwork and chemistry.  The Cats shot 58.1% and had a 23-point halftime lead.  The excellent play continued in the second half for the Cats as they went on to blowout the Bulldogs.  They put together a complete game both offensively and defensively which they haven’t done in quite some time.  Willie Cauley-Stein elevated his game once again in the absence of Nerlens Noel and five Cats scored in double figures.  Fred Thomas led the way for the Bulldogs with 13 points, but it certainly wasn’t enough to hang with the Cats.  Kentucky outplayed Mississippi State in nearly every aspect of the game on their way to routing the Bulldogs by 30 points.
