4PM Headlines: 1996 National Champion Kentucky Wildcats To Be Honored Tonight


With all that is surrounding tonight’s game, being that the Wildcats are favored to beat Mississippi State by almost 20 tonight and Andrew Wiggins and family being in attendance, add one more thing to make it a big game.  The 1996 National Champion Kentucky Wildcats will be honored with championship rings at tonight’s game.

Recently, Archie Goodwin’s play has been improving and he has shown signs of maturing throughout the season.  Coach Cal commended Goodwin’s progress in answering a couple of questions from Jerry Tipton.

UK signee Derek Willis will be headlining the Derby Festival Classic this year at Freedom Hall, alongside Louisville Anton Gill and Akoy Agau.

In some former Cats in the NBA injury news, Brandon Knight went through a full practice today and hopes to play tonight, but remains a game-time decision.

The top recruit in the nation for the class of 2014, Jahlil Okafor, was recently asked about his interest in Michigan State and mentioned other schools who he has been in contact with, however, Kentucky was never mentioned.
