Wildcat Baseball playing on Sunday after all

Good morning, Big Blue Nation! It was not the prettiest win last night but it was a win and that is what counts!

Kentucky Baseball, which is off to a 4-1 start to the season, will take on Coastal Carolina at 1 PM this afternoon in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Cats have had quite the share of weather delays to start the season. Last weekend, there was a snow storm and this weekend, it’s rain that messes up the schedule. You can listen to Dick Gabriel call the action live on the UK IMG Sports Network, in Lexington on WWTF 1580-AM and online at UKathletics.com. The Cats host Murray State this upcoming Tuesday for their home opener.

UK Hoops is on the road today as they are visiting Louisiana State this afternoon. The tip off is at 3 PM but will not be televised. You can join Neil Price on the radio or online as they game will be broadcast live on the UK IMG Sports Radio Network. Between baseball and basketball, the UK IMG Network will be a busy one today.

Former Wildcat James Lee has penned a new book, A Great Life. For more information on how to purchase a copy, unsigned or signed, you can visit http://www.jameslee1978.com/. The Freight Train played four seasons for Coach Joe B. Hall, where he played on the 1978 NCAA Championship team. Lee averaged 8.6 points per game in his Wildcat career and finished four points shy of joining the 1,000 point club. He would go onto be drafted in the 2nd round of the 1978 NBA Draft by Seattle.

The Swimming and Diving SEC Championships were this weekend. Both the Kentucky men’s and women’s teams finished 9th.

Finally, be sure to check out BBN Legends to see what former Wildcats will be signing before and/or after games at the Kentucky Proud store in the Lexington Center, next to Rupp Arena.
