Kentucky’s biggest opponent will not be the Vanderbilt Commodores.  It will be themselves.  It’s been a week since the Nerlens Noel injury and there are more questions now than their were on Wednesday after Kentucky laid an egg to the Tennessee Vols.  And there is cause for concern in the BBN.  Kentucky needed a late FG by Nerlens Noel to avert disaster in Nashville in January, and with no Noel, there is no telling how the Wildcats may play.

Even without Noel, this is a game that Kentucky SHOULD win easily.  The Wildcats are at home and the Commodores have lost five of seven.  This is a scrappy bunch of Commodores as they will give you a fight.  The Commodores have four SEC losses (Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and LSU) by a grand total of eight points.  It’s impressive to note that this is a team that scored just 33 points in a 23 loss to Arkansas, yet defeated the Razorbacks by 18 less than a week later.  Kentucky has the hard part of playing Vandy out of the road out of the way, but will be interesting to see if this team can regroup after the loss of Noel yet.  Let’s meet the Commodores.
