Arizona Western Junior College cornerback Nate Willis will likely be an immediate-impact player this year, as he gives the Cats experience at a very thin position. He held offers from West Virginia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Arkansas among others. Willis is rated as the #3 JUCO cornerback in the country by 247Sports, and can also play free safety. He had 50 tackles and four interceptions with a fumble forced in his two seasons at Arizona Western.

However, it didn’t appear he would be playing in any Division I conference due to academics and would be forced to play at a school at the Division II level, according to a post on his Twitter account. The main issue was his transfer credits, and he still needed to take a class in order for him to qualify for Kentucky, but couldn’t afford to take the class. His family helped him pay for the class, and now he is set to join UK this Summer and compete for a starting role.
