According to a release from the University of Kentucky, freshman center Nerlens Noel tore his ACL in last night’s game against Florida. Noel will be out for the rest of the season, after having surgery in the next 2 to 3 weeks, and rehab is expected to take anywhere from 6 to 8 months.
Noel was averaging 10.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.4 blocks and 2.1 steals per game. This is a huge blow to the Cats and everyone is hoping for a speedy recovery for Nerlens. No one ever wants to see this happen to a player who would’ve been the number 1 overall draft pick in the upcoming draft.
