Seems like I say this every week, but there is no dominate team in college basketball this year. Indiana came  into the week as the 5th #1 in 5 weeks, and they didn’t handle the pressure of being #1 to well as they went to Champaign, Illinois and got beat by the Fighting Illini by a last second layup after Cody Zeller got totally lost on the play. They went on to beat Ohio State on Sunday, and looked very good in doing it, but just like every team in the nation they aren’t consistent.

A team that nobody was even talking about to start the year was the Miami Hurricanes, but they are looking like the best team in the nation. Yes, Duke holds the #1 spot in our polls for THIS WEEK, but remember Miami beat them easily about three weeks ago. Miami sent another statement with a 87-61 domination of North Carolina. Shane Larkin posted 18 points, and 9 assist for the Hurricanes. Miami moved up to the #2 spot in our weekly poll.

Maybe most entertaining game of the week was Louisville and Notre Dame. Louisville looked they were going to walk out with a win, but they forgot that anything can happen in 48 seconds. Louisville was up 8 points with 48 seconds left in regulation, but missed free throws, a heroic comeback by the Irish sent the game into overtime. The game ended in five overtimes, and Notre Dame handed Louisville it’s 4th loss in the last 5 games since taking over the #1 spot just 3 weeks ago. Garrick Sherman ended the game with 17 points, but all his points came in the 5 overtimes as he didn’t see a minute of playing time in regulation.

Here is our weekly top 25 poll, and just a heads up there will most likely be a new #1 next week…
