This is the email I just received from Eli Capilouto on helping the University of Kentucky to move forward with construction of their three projects that include renovations to Commonwealth Stadium. It’s quick, easy, and took me 5 minutes, and it only helps increase the chances of this being passed:
Today we are taking the first step toward our shared future.
The legislation authorizing the University of Kentucky to move forward with construction of our three projects was filed this afternoon. We expect it to be heard in a committee next week and then, if successful, on to the House and Senate for further consideration.
We wanted you to be the very first people to hear about this important first step.
Now, we need you to make your voice heard again.
It is the legislative hotline. You can ask the person on the line to tell you who your House representative is. Then, ask to leave a message for that representative.
The message is simple: “I am a constituent of yours. Please support HB 7 that authorizes the University of Kentucky to construct three important, planned projects on campus that are self-financed and require no state funds. Thank you.”
Thanks for your support. It is critical to our success.
We are a Big Blue Nation United. Together, our success will lead to a brighter future for our students, our university and our state.
