Former Kentucky Wildcats In The NBA 2/5 Edition


Monday night was full of great NBA action, there were 9 former Cats playing and some of them led their teams to some pretty surprising upsets.

Washington Wizards 98- Los Angeles Clippers 90

The Washington Wizards led by former Cat John Wall who had 13 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds and a steal took full advantage of the struggling Clippers while they were without not only Chris Paul for this one, but Blake Griffin also. Even though the Clippers lost this one former Cat Eric Bledsoe had an outstanding game in Paul’s absence with 17 points, 9 assists, 2 blocks, a steal and a rebound.

Indiana Pacers 111- Chicago Bulls 101

>Marquis Teague, Guard, Chicago

>Nazr Mohammed, Center, Chicago

In this Eastern Conference battle the Pacers held down their home court as they have done all season.  Former Cat Marquis Teague had  2 points and 2 assists in his limited action, while Nazr Mohammed did not play in this game due to coaches decision.

New York Knicks 99- Detroit Pistons 85

>Brandon Knight, Guard, Detroit

The Knicks led by Carmelo Anthony’s 27 points sailed past the Pistons who are still trying to find their identity this season. Newly acquired guard Jose Calderon played very well in his Detroit debut with 15 points, while former Cat Brandon Knight had an off night with only 5 points, 2 assists and a rebound.

Oklahoma City Thunder 112- Dallas Mavericks 91

>Daniel Orton, Center, Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City was rolling in this one and Russell Westbrook looked unstoppable all night long with 24 points. Former Cats Deandre Liggins and Daniel Orton both made contributions in this game, Liggins with 5 points, 4 rebounds and an assist and Orton with 3 rebounds and an assist.

Utah Jazz 98- Sacramento Kings 91 (OT)

>Enes Kanter, Center, Utah

>DeMarcus Cousins, Center, Sacramento

For Cats fans this game was one to watch. The battle of the Kentucky bigs was on tonight in Utah with former Cats Enes Kanter and DeMarcus Cousins. Kanter recorded 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block and a steal to contribute to the win, while Cousins had an off game as well with only 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block.
