This is a scene that John Calipari does not want to see. Ever again. The sight of Elston Howard “shushing the crowd” at Rupp Arena is still a sore subject for Wildcat fans. Howard exploded for 40 points as the Aggies upset UK 83-71. The teams have gone in different directions since as Texas A&M went on a four game losing streak after that game and just snapped it with a 55-49 OT win over Mississippi State. Kentucky has won four of five and is fresh off an 87-73 upset of their own over #16 Ole Miss. In that game, Nerlens Noel had a school record 12 blocks for the Wildcats.
A win is vital for Kentucky as they will gain some ground in the SEC race. Florida (7-0) and Ole Miss (6-1) play each other at 7:00PM in Gainesville, so a win will either tie them for second in the conference or move them to just a game back of the Gators.
