Here is his ESPN Recruiting Profile

Haynes is a very effective run blocker at the tight end position; flashes the initial quickness and upper body playing strength that appears suited for the offensive guard position at the major level of competition; this is a projected move inside to the guard spot. As a tight end we see and average route runner with adequate ball catching skills; flashes over the pads toughness after the catch. Playing out of a three point stance we see the flexibility, balance and agility needed to play on his feet in space; flashes the ability to handle quick change of direction moves when blocking linebackers. This guy is a tough customer who works hard to finish blocks. Comes off the ball aggressively with a flat back, good base and the strong hands needed to knock defenders off the ball; does a good job gaining an immediate advantage with his foot quickness along with the agility needed to react to movement. We see the athleticism to reach on offset defenders; is capable of consistently getting a hat on active 1st and 2nd level defenders; displays the physical tools necessary to make the run blocks at the next level. Pass protection skills must be learned; his foot quickness and balance suggests good potential. Haynes is a developmental size prospect who will need time and perhaps a red shirt year to adjust to the move inside while polishing his skills.
