Kentucky Wildcats Football: Recruiting Roundup

With National Signing Day less than three weeks away, UK will be hosting likely it’s last large recruiting weekend before then, and here is a recap of every confirmed visitor for this weekend:

Marcus McWilson, 4-star Safety, Youngstown, OH (committed to Nebraska)

Ryan Timmons, 4-star WR, Frankfort, Ky.

David Maka, 3-star Center, Tustin, Calif.

Jeff Badet, 3-star WR, Orlando, Fla.

David Kamara, 3-star CB, Loganville, Ga.

Jacob Hyde, 3-star DT, Manchester, Ky. (committed to UK)

Khalid Thomas, 3-star RB, Tallahassee, Fla. (committed to UK)

Nate Willis, 3-star CB, Western Arizona Community College (committed to UK)

It’s worth noting that 4-star CB and Florida State commit Marquez White was scheduled to visit this weekend, but posted Tuesday on Twitter that he’d be rescheduling for January 25.

Of all of the above prospects, Timmons and McWilson are the two biggest targets for the UK staff. Timmons can play a Randall Cobb-type playmaker role, and would be in line for immediate playing time next year. He is widely viewed as a UK-lean, but won’t likely commit until closer to signing-day.

McWilson could be the best recruit UK has a legitimate shot with right now, and would also come in and get immediate playing time, if not, start. There’s a growing belief he’s ready to decommit from Nebraska and commit to UK as early as this weekend.
