Final: Kentucky 75, Tennessee 65
Noel tacks on another block. Kid doesn’t stop
UT doesn’t make free throws, misses about as wide open a layup as it gets, and Kentucky should hold on.
Josh Richardson airballed the first and bricked the second FT on the flagrant call. And Vols miss a shot on ensuing possession
Wiltjer taking the game over. Scoop shot puts UK up 68-62. Gets fouled on next possession, and will shoot FTs. BTW, Stokes picked up the foul and is gone.
Another Mays 3 puts UK ahead 64-58, but Goodwin picks up 5th foul and is done.
Cats answer with a 8-2 run, highlighted by a Mays 3-pointer.
UT up 54-43 after Reese three-pointer
Noel now with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 steals. Cats lead 53-49, 8:22 to go.
Noel with off rebound and layup, then gets massive swat on other end. He is possessed
And has 10 points

Stokes with fourth foul with 12:25 left
Well… after a good D stand, Wiltjer then was out hustled to a long rebound and then had his man blow right by him to the basket. Babysteps, but steps nonetheless.
UK 47-41 at 12:41
Harrow just got schooled by Golden for and-1
Wiltjer gets the block,… finally some D. Cats lead 45-39 and the Vols are on the line for the And – 1
Noel’s first points come on a wrap-around pass from Wiltjer. Hits fT to complete and-1
Poythress is shooting 47.3% from 3 this season (9/19). Good for t8th best in Kentucky single season history.

Cauley-Stein in early foul trouble. Vols lead 31-30 in the final minute of the half
So Goodwin’s missed dunk might have been one of the best missed dunks I’ve ever seen. It was also one of the most selfish… seems to be a trend here in the first half. I want to see him play the 2 on 1 like a 2 on one vs a 1 on 1 all the time.
Cats at 39% (11-28).
Timeout. Kentucky leads Tennessee 28-25 with 2:24 left in the half. Very sloppy game thus far.
WCS had 14 TDs and 1500 yards in high school as a WR? Stoops might wanna watch a few more basketball games…
Archie went for the thunder dunk, but botched it. WCS was fouled though.
Lazy pass by Goodwin to Poythress results in a turnover (jump ball) UT missed the shot and Goodwin skyed for the runout dunk. Missed the shot though.
Cats up by 3 with 4:35 to go in the first.
I would have liked to have seen Goodwin pass the ball off to Wiltjer on that run out… pay him back for the hustle
Good hustle by Kyle leads to steal and Goodwin score. Now another Tennessee turnover, UK 25-19 and life in building now
8-0 Run by the Cats in the last 2 minutes
