It was a slow night in the NBA for former Kentucky Wildcats as only a total of four former Cats took the floor last night. DeAndre Liggins, Keith Bogans, Anthony Davis and Jodie Meeks all suited up for action last night. Let’s take a look at how each player did individually as well as how their respective teams faired.
Oklahoma City Thunder 87 – Portland Trailblazers 83
- DeAndre Liggins, Guard, Oklahoma City
DeAndre Liggins got his first career start last night and he certainly made the most out of it. Liggins played shut down defense the entire game and played the most out of any player on the team, including Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Liggins played 40 minutes, finishing with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Liggins received a lot of attention from teammates after the game as both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook mentioned his play in their postgame comments. The Thunder got the win over the Trailblazers, 87 to 83.
New York Knicks 100 – New Orleans Hornets 87
- Anthony Davis, Forward, New Orleans
Rookie Anthony Davis started again last night for the New Orleans Hornets against the New York Knicks. Davis had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a block. The Hornets lost to the Knicks despite Davis’ efforts, 100 to 87.
