Matthew Mitchell has his Kentucky women’s basketball team(16-1, 4-0 SEC) playing the best basketball they’ve played since he came to UK, and his Cats extend their school-record 15-game winning streak today, as they notched a SEC road win over the Missouri Tigers, 69-43, to end the Tigers 11-game home winning streak. Junior center DeNesha Stallworth scored 17 points and senior guard A’dia Mathies added 14 points to keep UK undefeated n the SEC and on pace for the school’s first-ever #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Stallworth also had team-highs with three steals and three blocks with a Nerlens Noel-esque statline.

The Cats jumped out to an early 23-4 lead, and never looked back. Missouri did lead the country with 10 3-pointers per game, but UK’s “40 minute’s of hell” helped limit the Tigers to just 2/20 on three-pointers.

The Cats’s win today was also their 16th game this season decided by at least 18 points as they remained unbeaten in the SEC. The Cats return home to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
