Kentucky Wildcats 71 Texas A&M Aggies 83

Jan 12, 2013; Lexington, KY, USA; Kentucky Wildcats forward Nerlens Noel (3) shoots the ball against Texas A

Kentucky and Texas A&M had two players tat were transcendent in today’s intense and hotly contended match up. Nerlens Noel and Elston Turner had monster games for their respective teams, but only one could leave Rupp Arena today with a victory, and that would be the Texas A&M. Elston Turner’s epic 40 point performance was just too much for Kentucky to handle.

Noel’s day ended with a big time double-double. He had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocked shots. He lead the team in four out of the five major statistical categories.

The Kentucky Wildcats showed once again that they still are not ready for prime time and lost the game in stunning fashion. Nerlens Noel’s big game was overshadowed at the end by a truly questionable effort, and a surprising blow out.

The Wildcats are now 10-5 on the season and 1-1 in a below par SEC conference.
