Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is scheduled to make his season debut on Saturday night vs. the Atlanta Hawks. Wizards coach Randy Wittman said this after Thursday’s practice

He’s pretty close. Obviously, we have another 24 hours here. He’s gone hard. These are probably the two hardest days back-to-back that he’s put together. Obviously, we have to see how his body responds.

Wall hasn’t played for the Wizards this season after doctors diagnosed Wall with a stress injury to his left knee.

There will be no Kentucky wildcats winning the John R. Wooden Award this year. The 25-man midseason list was released, and unsurprisingly  there are no UK players on the list. Anthony Davis claimed the trophy last year, the first player to do such in the history of Kentucky basketball.
