TEXAS A&M AGGIES 11-3 (1-0)
JANUARY 12, 2013 – 4:00 PM

12/22/1978: Texas A&M 73 KENTUCKY 69*

It’s history of a sort when UK and Texas A&M face off. It while be the first time the two teams face off as SEC Rivals. Texas A&M comes into the game with an 11-3 record and won their SEC opener over Arkansas on Wednesday 69-51.  The Aggies will have a decidedly Kentucky touch in tomorrows game at Rupp Arena.  Former Murray State coach  Billy Kennedy is in his second season as head coach of the Aggies while assistant Glynn Cyprien spent some time on the bench during the BCG era.  No doubt Cyprien will have his charges aware of what to expect at Rupp.

The Aggies will be a solid test for UK as in some RPI polls they are ranked 56st compared to Kentucky’s 51sh.  The Aggies have not played an extremely tough schedule but are 4-2 against teams in the top 100 as compared to UK’s 1-4 mark.  That is not to say that the Aggies have been dominant this year.  They lost to Southern U (138th) and struggled versus Washington State 188th and Army (273rd).  But this could be a statement game for the Aggies to have a shot to walk into Rupp Arena and knock off the king of the SEC.  The football team already made that statement versus Alabama, so let’s see what the hoops Aggies will do.  That said, lets meet the Aggies:
