Not a very busy night for Kentucky players in the NBA, but a those that did play excelled in their roles. Kentucky favorites MKG and Anthony Davis matched up against each in Charlotte. Rajon Rondo sat out with a bruised thigh. Teague played a few seconds and recorded no stats. Doron Lamb did not play with the returns of Udrih and Dunleavy.
Anthony Davis 8 points 10 rebounds 3 blocks- Davis played well with a solid stat line in an ugly basketball game. He controlled the boards for the Hornets and provided enough of a spark to help the team to a win over the lowly Bobcats.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 22 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist , 1 steal, 2 blocks- MKG was by far the player of the game for both sides in this game. He lit up the Hornets for 16 first half points before suffering a knee to his eye which took him out of the game. He returned with protective eyewear but his excellent performance could not stop the slump of the Bobcats.
Nazr Mohammed 8 rebounds 1 steal- The veteran big man received an usually high amount of minutes for the Bulls in their win over the Wizards. Although he did not score, 8 rebounds in 13 minutes is excellent production from Nazr.
