1. #12 Missouri Tigers (10-1, 0-0) Last Week: W vs. SC State 102-51, @ Illinois 82-73: Pressey and the Tigers are loving the SEC and scored a huge out-of-conference win against undefeated Illinois.  With all the crap that Missouri got for taking Haith from Miami, they are sure loving him now.  Oriakhi, Pressey, and Bowers all had a double-double, even though Pressey was only 3-19.  Oriakhi was a huge get for them with his veteran leadership and balling skills.  Welcome to #1. This Week: 12-28 @ UCLA

2. #8 Florida Gators (8-2, 0-0) Last Week: W vs. SE Louisiana 82-43, L @ Kansas State 67-61: The ball needs to run through Patric Young in the post.  He must always take more than 11 shots.  He’s my best player. ß Things on Billy D.’s board. K-State was unranked and coached by the Rick Stansbury of the West.  Their scoring was very balanced; there just wasn’t enough of it.  Improve or move, Florida. This Week: 12-29 vs. Air Force

3. Kentucky Wildcats (8-3, 0-0) Last Week: W vs. Marshall 82-54: This is what we look like when a PG runs the point and we play our hearts out on D.  There can’t be enough said about Harrow’s career high 23 points and logging the most minutes on the team.  They overcame Goodwin’s terrible shooting night by everyone playing a complete game.  Poythress and WCS almost posted double-doubles and Archie was money from the FT Line.  Marshall isn’t a great team, but we finally showed a glimpse of what we’re capable of.  This Week: 12-29 @ Little Brother

4. Tennessee Volunteers (7-3, 0-0) Last Week: W vs. Presbyterian 78-62, W vs. Western Carolina 66-52:  Finally‼!  UT broke 40!  No really‼  Jarnell Stokes is the prototypical player for Cuonzo Martin.  He is a man playing a kids game.  Golden is playing PG like a typical Calipari PG and it’s paying off huge.  Bit tougher test this week for the Volunteers.  This Week: 12-29 vs. Xavier

5. South Carolina (8-3, 0-0): Last Week: W vs. Appy State 74-69, vs. W vs. Manhattan 63-57: Seems like the Appy State cupcakes gave Frank indigestion but they held tough for the W.  With a couple of former Cats on the Manhattan coaching staff, no one expected that to matter one bit.  Frank martin can scare a win out of his team and not go over the line. They aren’t high scoring or fast paced, but they are disciplined and go nine deep.  This Week: 12-29 Presbyterian

6. LSU Tigers (7-2, 0-0) Last Week: W @ UC Irvine 66-60, L @ Marquette 84-80: After the hot start to their season, LSU has dropped 2/3 but fared well considering it was a road game with a young team.  Five players in double figures bodes well for their future.  Marquette doubled LSU in FT attempts so there’s that. This Week: 12-28 vs. Houston Baptist

7. Texas A&M (8-3, 0-0) Last Week: W vs. Texas A&M CC 66-54, vs. L vs. Southern University 53-51: Maybe A&M will build a trophy case for Johnny’s Heisman in their basketball arena.  No, they’re not that bad considering this is their first home loss of the season, but it was to Southern.  Despite shooting 10% higher on FG, the O wasn’t in synch and it showed.  Still, though, they’ll right the ship here in the weak SEC.  This Week: 12-28 vs. Army
