GAME 11

MARSHALL THUNDERING HERD (7-5)
DECEMBER 22, 2012 – 4:00 PM
RUPP ARENA – LEXINGTON, KY

TV – ESPN2

KENTUCKY LEADS SERIES 11-0

LAST MEETING
12/1/2003: KENTUCKY 90 Marshall 76*
*at Cincinnati, OH

It’s the final game before things “get real again” on December 29th, and believe it or not, the Marshall Thundering Herd will be a very good test. They have played respectably against some good teams  and are a good rebounding team.   They also are experienced and will not be in awe of Rupp Arena.  The BBN is anxious to see how this team looks after a week of “Camp Cal”.

The Thundering Herd have not pulled off any big upsets this year, but they do have respectable losses to Villanova and West Virginia.  Not that those teams are powerhouses but the most telling game is when hung with Cincinnati until midway through the second half in a 72-56 loss.  Marshall trailed  41-35 to the Bearcats with 13:55 left until Cincinnati finally put them away.  So expect a fight from Marshall.  And that is not a bad thing headed into Louisville week.  With that said, let’s meet the Thundering Herd.
