Steven Borden, the son of Sting, may be Mark Stoops' First Commitment at Kentucky

The University of Kentucky may be on the verge of securing it’s first official commitment of the Mark Stoops-era in the form of Texas junior college tight end Steven Borden, who happens to be the son of hall-of-fame wrestler Sting, also known as Steve Borden. The younger Borden was an all-conference player this season for Kilgore Community College. He completed an official visit to UK this weekend while touring the facilities with former UK player Jeremy Jarmon and current lineman Zach West as his host. He is expected to make his college commitment soon, and said after his visit that UK is his leader. He was previously recruited by Neal Brown at Texas Tech.

In NFL action, Green Bay Packer wide receiver Randall finished the day with 151 total yards in the teams’ 21-13 victory over the Chicago Bears to secure the NFC South division title. His big day put him at 2,242 total yards on the season, leaving him a mere 8 yards behind former runningback Ahman Green’s all-purpose yardage record of 2,250.

The Houston Rockets have recalled Terrence Jones from the D-League in the wake of Patrick Patterson’s foot injury. He was given some rare playing time today in the teams’ 103-96 loss to the Toronto Raptors. He was in four 4 minutes and recorded one rebound and one turnover.
