GAME 8

SAMFORD BULLDOGS (2-7)
DECEMBER 4, 2012 – 7:00 PM
RUPP ARENA – LEXINGTON, KY

TV – FSN

KENTUCKY LEADS SERIES 1-0

LAST MEETING
12/20/2011: KENTUCKY 82 Samford 50

Well, after a rough week the Samford Bulldogs should be exactly what the doctor ordered for John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats. The Bulldogs, from the Southern Conference, limp into Rupp Arena with a 2-7 record. While the Bulldogs won’t provide much in competition, this will be a good gauge as to how UK stacks up to other competition. Louisville beat Samford 80-54 on November 15, but it should be noted that Louisville jumped out to a 42-13 halftime lead and could have really named their score. Samford does have a 65-54 loss on their resume to Memphis which is somewhat respectable. Regardless, this should be the sacrificial lamb type of game and one of four rampups to the Louisville game on 12/29. With that said, let’s meet the Bulldogs.
