Congrats to Archie Goodwin as he was named the SEC freshman of the week. Archie scored a near triple double on Friday night against LIU Brooklyn. He averaged 25 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists in Kentucky’s two games last week.

Expect more big games from Archie, especially now that Ryan Harrow is back on the team and Goodwin can play his natural spot as shooting guard.

Speaking of Ryan Harrow, nobody is more excited that he is back than the man himself. There is a video up on in which Harrow says he is happy to be back and happy to get back with his teammates.

Harrow said he couldn’t stop smiling when he rejoined he team. Of the mystery illness, he said it definitely was not mono but they still aren’t sure what it was. He lost seven pounds but he is still in game shape and is ready to go.

The rumors about Kentucky’s next head football coach have been out of control during the past 48 hours. One rumor that we may be able to put to bed is that Bobby Petrino is going to be the next head coach. According to Chris Low over at, the presidents and chancellors have an agreement that non of the four SEC schools with current job openings will hire Petrino.

I’m not sure where Petrino goes from here, but it may be his nearest courtroom.
