Former Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA – 11/18 Edition

While several members of the WBN staff was attending Senior Night at Commonwealth Stadium, there were games taking place in the NBA featuring former players of our beloved Kentucky Wildcats.

Rajon Rondo had hurt his ankle earlier in the week but he seems to have recovered just fine. This quote from Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers really says it all about the former Wildcat point guard: “There’s been a couple [like Rondo]. Jason Kidd in his heyday, Magic [Johnson] all the time, [John] Stockton. But think about it: I’ve named four or five guys. The league has been around a long time. So it’s not a lot, and he’s one of them. He’s a rare bird. I mean, he really is.”

Meanwhile, without starting point guard John Wall, the Washington Wizards have started off this season with an 0-8 record. I’d say that as of right now, it’s a good bet that people will start to wonder which member of the current Kentucky squad that they end up drafting next June.

Rajon Rondo: 6 points, 20 assists, 2 rebounds
Enes Kanter: 4 points, 1 rebound
John Wall: Inactive
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: 12 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist
Anthony Davis: 28 points, 11 rebounds
Darius Miller: 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists
Doron Lamb: Did not play, coach’s decision
Nazr Mohammed: 2 points, 1 rebound
Marquis Teague: Played 2 minutes
Eric Bledsoe: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists
