There were only two NBA games on last night, and the first game featured the Western Conference’s best team in the Oklahoma City Thunder, facing off against a Chicago Bulls team expected to contend for the top spot in the Eastern Conference if all-Star point guard Derrick Rose can eventually return to full health. As for former Wildcats, OKC featured DeAndre Liggins, who was inactive as he’s now in the midst of his third NBA season. Though playing time has been scarce for him, given how far he’s come in life, it truly is a joy to see him making a living at the highest level of basketball.

As for the Bulls, Marquis Teague was also inactive as continues to adjust to the NBA game. It is a little discouraging to see him not playing right now, because one would have to think that when Rose returns, playing time will be impossible for Teague to find.

The Thunder managed to grind out a hard-fought 97-91 victory.
