And just when you thought that the rich wouldn’t actually be able to get richer, 6’10”, 260lb Center Dakari Johnson, who is the #3 ranked Junior, has opted to reclassify and is now the #12 Senior for the 2013 class. And you guessed it, UK is among those on his list and who has shown interest in him. I’m not sure how he will fit with Marcus Lee, and possibly Julius Randle, but if anyone can fit a square peg into a round hole, it is John Calipari. ESPN’s Dave Telep has all the info you need on Johnson, right here.

Johnson’s Mom has weighed in on the schools interested and what a timeline for a decision here as reported by Ben Roberts of NextCats.

"Makini Campbell, Dakari’s mother, comes from a family of educators. Campbell commented, “this was a family decision, and we respect Dr. Kesselring’s due diligence in evaluating our request. It was important to Dakari that he be able to graduate from Montverde Academy, and we are very pleased that Dr. Kesselring recognized the unique opportunities available to Dakari and was willing to work with us to advance Dakari’s future academically and athletically .” Campbell went on to say that “Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State and Syracuse have expressed interest in Dakari; however, our focus right now will be on Dakari’s academics and his high school season; we will evaluate his college opportunities but will wait until the season is over before taking any official visits. Right now, I just want to keep him focused on school and his team.”"
