8. Vanderbilt Commodores (5-4, 3-3) Prior Rank 10- A few weeks ago the Commodores were near the bottom of this list, but thanks to three weak teams in a row, they find themselves back in the thick of things and one win away from a second straight bowl game. James Franklin’s team Could finish the year 8-4 with their remaining schedule. My, how things change. Next Game: November 10th at Ole Miss

9. Ole Miss Rebels (5-4, 2-3) Prior Rank 9- The Rebels really tried to beat Georgia, but superior talent overcome desire in the end. The Rebs have a tough road to tow to end the season, but their improvement is noted. They are only one win away from being bowl bound as is Vanderbilt. Saturday’s game in Oxford should be a doozy. Next Game: November 10th vs. Vanderbilt

10. Missouri Tigers (4-5, 1-5) Prior Rank 9- Yes, the Tigers lost another game, but it was a hard fought road game against Florida. Mizzou is showing signs of improvement but they still have a way to go if they want to be taken seriously as their former Big 12 counterparts, Texas A&M. The Tigers have a chance to be .500 and to get one more win in the SEC against Tennessee this week. Next Game: November 10th at Tennessee

11. Tennessee Volunteers (4-5, 0-5) Prior Rank 10- A shootout victory over Troy will earn you a dropped position in these rankings. UT is flirting with being awful as they almost let a middle of the road Sun Belt team drop them at home. Luckily, the Vols offense can score. But, their defense is awful. They still are winless in the SEC and their best chance to get a W will come this week against Missouri. But I wouldn’t look past the Tigers. They have been playing some decent football for the past couple of weeks. Next Game: November 10th vs. Missouri

12. Arkansas Razorbacks (4-5, 2-3) Prior Rank 11- Another SEC team with a bad looking win against an inferior opponent. The Razorbacks are hard to figure out. One week they look like the team we all thought they would be, the next week they look like terrible. This week, they looked terrible. They barely beat Tulsa, who is actually a tough team. But still, it’s Tulsa. Next Game: November 1oth, at #8 South Carolina

13. Auburn Tigers (2-7, 0-6) Prior Rank 13- Give the Tigers some credit, they at least blew someone out. It was 1-8 New Mexico State, but a win is a win, right? That feeling should be short lived as the Bulldogs from Georgia come to town next, but who knows what will happen. Georgia has been flat away from Athens this season. Next Game: November 10th, vs. #6 Georgia

14. Kentucky Wildcats (1-9, 0-7) Prior Rank 14- The Joker Phillips era is over and it’s not a moment too soon after the 40-0 shutout at the hands of Vandy. The Commodores used to be an automatic W for the Wildcats but that script has been flipped. Vanderbilt has blown the ‘Cats out twice this season, and this is the second time UK has suffered a shutout this season. The bye week is next. Two more games and we can say bye to Joker Phillips for good. Next Game: BYE WEEK
