I attended Kentucky’s first exhibition game against the Northwood Seahawks last night, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw on the court. Kentucky’s extremely young team was shaky at times, but there were flashes of brilliance as the Wildcats won 93-61. All five of UK’s starters finished in double figures and Nerlens Noel recorded his first collegiate double-double.
Archie Goodwin lead all scorers with 22 points. The Wildcats shot 61.4 % from the field and went 6-9 from the three point line, shooting 66.7% from long range. The ‘Cats out rebounded the Seahawks 42-30.
