WBN NCAA Football Top 25: Alabama Crimson Tide Remain #1 on Eve of SEC Showdown with LSU Tigers

The Alabama Crimson Tide is still a unanimous number one team in the latest edition of the WBN Top 25, but they’ll face their toughest test of the season this Saturday as they head to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers in an SEC West showdown that will likely dtermine who goes to the SEC Championship game from the west, and potentially the National Title Game. It will be a rematch of the 2012 title game which saw the Tide romp the Tigers 21-0 after LSU won at Bama in the regular season in a 9-6 overtime thriller(I just typed that).

After Florida had an epic collapse against Georgia in the annual Cocktail Party, the Gators fell to while the Dawgs climbed up

Climbing into the top-5 for the first time in the history of the WBN top-25 were the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are now firmly in position to make a run at the 2013 BCS Championship is they can finish the season undefeated, but we all know they’ll choke somewhere along the line. They’ll need some help to get to the title game however, as rising to #2 were the Oregon Ducks, who are now challenging Kansas State for the second berth in the 2013 National Title game, assuming the SEC has at least one participant.

Here are how the final rankings came out for this week:
