NCAA Football: Missouri Tigers 33 Kentucky Wildcats 10

The Missouri Tigers got their first win as a member of the Southeastern conference today and in the process, extended the Kentucky Wildcats losing streak to seven games. Kentucky fumbled the ball six times and lost three of them. Missouri also had three turnovers but the the Tigers got points off the Wildcat miscues. Missouri scored 20 points off the UK turnovers and the Wildcats just 3 off the Mizzou mistakes.

Kentucky drove to the Missouri 13 yard line on the very first drive of the game, but Jonathan George was stripped of the ball Sheldon Richardson returned the ball to the Kentucky 25 yard line. Kendial Lawrence scored four plays later and this was an indication of how the game would go. In the fourth quarter, EJ Gaines returned a fumbled 33-0 for the final points of the game.

And there was a lot of sloppy football in between. Neither team really was impressive offensively as Missouri had just 273 yards compared to Kentucky’s 179. Kendial Lawrence had 108 yards rushing with two TD’s but no other players, even the QB’s could pass the 100 yard mark. Missouri evens their record at 4-4 and Kentucky falls to 1-8.
