Tyler Wilson:
Wilson may have came into 2012 as the most overhyped player in the history of Arkansas football. The former All-SEC standout(under Bobby Petrino), was being hyped up to be one of, if not the best quarterback in all of college football this season, while aslo being pegged as a potential Heisman winner, as well as a high draft pick in the 2013 NF L Draft, but that all crashed and burned along with Bobby Petrino’s motorcycle incident, as he’s been only a shadow of what he was while Petrino was in Fayetteville.
After a senior season in which he threw 24 TDs to just six interceptions, he’s thrown just nine TDs to five INTs, including just one TD to two INTs in two SEC games. His completion percentage also dropped from 66% in 2011 to 57% in 2012.
He’s the starting QB of an offense that ranks 94th in the nation in scoring offense(Kentucky, for all of it’s struggles, ranks 107th), and he’s been a huge disappointment to say the least. Still, he’s the key to this offense, as the Hogs sport the 24th-best passing offense in college football, though many of those yards have been thrown while the team was trailing to the likes of Louisiana Monroe, Rutgers, and by 52 points to Alabama and 58-10 to Texas A&M. Lots of passing yards often equal losing, as evidenced by their 2-4 record.
